Fordnutz Club History 2009

The August 8th Claw In cruise took us to the Teamsters Museum in Port Coquitlam after which we gathered at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Langley for our club dinner.

Right: The Henschkes, Gehlhaars and Waines reside at another.

The unique tin sign awards were a big hit for Claw In. The artwork featured the Cougars of Scott Ferguson and Heather Whitaker and Don Wicklund's Edsel, Jim Greenlee's (GVMA) Mustang and Larry Ainsworth's (CFFCC) Cyclone.

Scott Ferguson's green G (with sign) showed well at Yakima, WA in September.

October 18: At a Mystery Cruise to the Coquitlam home of Dave Waters we saw some American-made Rolls Royces and other classics.

100 years of policing in Surrey was the display at the Stewart Farm for our event in November

32 attended the Christmas dinner on December 5th at Choo Choo's Restaurant in Langley.

Clockwise Table 1: Wil Hiebert, Gail Wood, Rob & Kirsten Waine, Don & Connie Wicklund, Glen, Liane & Dean Henschke, Marlene & Harry Unruh (hidden), Irma & Harry Peters, Tom Wood, David Hiebert.
Clockwise Table 2: Cindy Friesen, Jim Ferguson, Terry & Rene Elyzen, Heather Whitaker, Scott Ferguson, Karl & LaDonna Gehlhaar, Elaine & Jim Pinkerton.

Due to disappointing attendance at Claw In, members were polled resulting in the decision to no longer host an open show and to keep trophies to a minimum. At summer's end, we learned that member James Schwartz had passed away in July and although James was a fairly recent member, he was a familiar face at most Fordnutz events. By December, Lorne & Betty Pirson officially stepped down as Secretary with duties now shared by Kim Friesen and Heather Whitaker.
