Fordnutz Club History 2003

2003 was a year of celebration for Ford's 100th anniversary but was also a year of deep sadness as the Fordnutz family lost two their core members, Brad Whitaker in February and Vera Ferguson in September. Despite the tragedy, members kept up spirits by attending annual events.

Jan. 14th: "Hats of Control" for Kim & Cindy Friesen as new keepers of the purse strings.

With banners and equipment borrowed from Ford's Langley office, Fordnutz was part of the winning Ford Council display at Tradex in April.

June 6: Working with Chris Banks of Ford Canada in Oakville, Ontario Scott gathered volunteers from Fordnutz and other Ford clubs to display their classics at Canada Place for Ford's 100th Anniversary.

There was more celebration on June 13th with a car show and BBQ at Ford's regional head office in Langley

Cougar convertibles and hardtops at Cascade's Prowl at Cedar River Park in Renton, Washington on July 27th..

Claw In began with a surprise 40th birthday party at Heather Whitaker's townhouse for our Grand Poobah on Aug.8.

August 9: The Claw In cruise was off to a wet start but it was warm and dry at Ocean Park Ford in Surrey.
