Fordnutz Club History 2002

2002: Over $350 was collected for the SPCA during the 2001 Fordnutz meetings so the club rounded up the donation to $400. In January 2002 Scott presented a cheque and a further donation of blankets to an SPCA representative during the Adopt-a-Pet segment on Global TV's noon news broadcast. Being the 35th anniversary of Mercury Cougar, it was a good year to initiate a membership drive so as initiative, those who signed up three new members in the year were given 50% off their renewal and those who signed up five or more got theirs free. In addition, those who renewed early were eligible for a special draw.

Below: "Go Topless or Go Home" was the theme for the BC Classic & Custom Car Show in April. Due in part to the carpentry skills of Kim Friesen, the Fordnutz display was a huge success.
