With Vera's fingers firmly on the club's purse-strings, the bank account grew from slightly over a hundred dollars at the beginning of 1998 to $798 by year-end. Not only that, we now had petty (Kitty) cash of $77 and a US account totalling $105. The newsletter was now six pages containing officers' reports, stories on members' cars, news columns by Robert Walmsley and Alan Laary, events listings, cars and merchandise for sale and a list of vendors offering club discounts. Wow! What a difference a year makes!
The Fall show at Tradex featured Scott's 68 XR7, Bud Gueldenhaar's 73 XR7 and Shayne Gargaro's 68 Standard.
...and we closed out 1998 with a Christmas party at Garry T's in Surrey.
